Hi Andy, Unfortunately while a splitter would give you the same picture to 2 TVs, it would not resolve your problem. A splitter would look at what TVs were connected and then choose the most appropriate resolution for both. For example if you set it to 4K then only your 4K TV would get a picture as ...

Please could you let us know the part number of the extension cable you are using?

Are you using a hub or anything else with the cable?

Hi Mike Just to confirm it is not the cables, if you connect from your source device to the TV directly with each cable and touch / tap the connectors, does the issue persist? Is this problem with the 38157, or have your purchased the new 18G version as my colleague advised? Failing that if the unit...

Hi Andy, The 38051 does support 4K however up to the HDMI 1.4 specification which means it is limited to 4K 30Hz with HDCP 1.4. New "UHD" TVs work at 4K 60Hz, with the newer HDMI 2.0 standard which can also include HDR (High Dynamic Range colour). HDMI 2.0 also includes the new copyright protection ...

Hi Andy, The reason you are not able to get 4K through the matrix with your devices is because the matrix is rated as HDMI 1.4 with up to 10.2Gbps of bandwidth. The new 4K devices require HDMI 2.0 support with the copyright version HDCP 2.2 up to 18Gbps of bandwidth. I'm afraid if you wanted to keep...

Hi Brooksie12, Is the receiver sat directly in front of the virgin box, or are you using the supplied IR extension cables? Sometimes if the position of the IR Receiver is not lined up perfectly with the IR on the box, it will not work so it may be worth trying to re-position it. We have had other cu...

Hi Browser,

If you only have the bluray connected does the audio work fine? It may be that the unit is switching back to your TVs optical output if the TV has an "always on" optical port.

Hi G,

Do you have another device you'd be able to try the headphones on, just to check it's not a problem between those and the Kindle?

May also be worth just rebooting the Kindle and trying to re-pair.

Hi David, While we have seen some customers use the 8m Active cables with a short extension, it's something we do not recommend. These cable are designed to be connected directly to the source device (PC) as the chipset inside is tuned specifically to that 8m length. For your set-ups, we could only ...

Hi, It sounds as though you would need a Dual Head KVM Switch however this would not allow you to disable one monitor from PC1 and one monitor from PC2. It would always switch both displays at once to either PC1 or PC2. We also do not recommend using wireless mice or keyboards on any KVM product as ...

It may be worth checking your graphics drivers are up to date, however there are no drivers for the KVM itself.

I'm afraid if issues are happening with more than one PC, such as your Ubuntu PC and Windows PC, then it would point towards a fault developing on the KVM unfortunately.

Hi Schoon, Unfortunately if the switch has stopped functioning correctly after a period of time, we could only recommend that you return it to the place of purchase for testing and replacement. There isn't really any configuration on these units so if it has stopped handshaking then it may be a faul...

The cable is a standard USB 2.0 A to Mini-B, so providing your Sat Nav has a mini-B connection it should be compatible.

I'm afraid the email address and hostname fields do have a 15 character limitation on them, and unfortunately we do not have any newer firmware that would increase this.

Currently the only solution would be to use a shorter email address if possible.
