Hi DrGre, You would normally need to return the earphones to the place of purchase as they should cover the full 2 year warranty, however if you're having issues with that please could you email a copy of your proof of purchase to technical@lindy.co.uk and we'll look to see if we can replace them di...

Hi Nick, I don't appear to have received any emails with EDID files attached yet unfortunately. In regards to HDCP, when we use a bluray player set to upscale it will output HDCP 2.2 + 1.4 simultaneously when sending to our HDMI 1.4 panel on the HDMI input port and we can achieve 4K 24p despite this...

Hi Nick, I've tried reading your 2 EDID blocks this morning however it doesn't appear to work, are you able to save the EDID direct from the monitor and then through the 38146 as a .bin file please? If so, please could you email these to 'technical@lindy.co.uk' for my attention and I will have a loo...

Hi Nick, I work in the Technical Support department here at Lindy UK so we are aware of this enquiry, if we require any further information we can talk directly to our suppliers and product managers. I've had one of these out to check today. We have read the EDID of a display connected direct by Dis...

Hi Nick, I've checked one of our blurays to a 4K 30HZ monitor today and confirmed that if I go direct HDMI I can achieve 4K 24Hz without issue, however when I go through the 38146 it drops down to 1080p 60Hz, which is consistent with your testing. I think HDCP is the issue rather than the EDID (the ...

Hi Blakemere, Are you getting any lights on the HDCP converter? It may be worth trying another USB port, for example if your TV has one available or if you have a USB charger you could use? What length of HDMI cables are you using, and what resolution is your TV? Are you trying to converter HDCP 2.2...

Hi Nick, It could be an HDCP issue. Generally for a bluray player to send 4K video it would use HDCP 2.2 however if this version of HDCP is not available it will clock back to the HDMI 1.4 standard and send 1080p video. The adapter supports up to HDCP 1.1, it may be worth checking what version your ...

Hi Nigel, The extender supports IR extension for 30-60Khz signals, so it be worth checking that your devices use a frequency within that range first. IR can be very positional so you would need to make sure the IR on your device is aligned with the extenders IR Eye properly or it may not work proper...

Hi, While you could use our 38168 to extract up to 7.1 DD+ audio through ARC to be converter into optical, I'm afraid connecting a second unit is not something we have tested. Hi,

Yes that is correct. If you are wanting the same picture to go to 2 displays that are of different resolutions (for example 4K and 1080p) then you would need some form of downscaler for the lower resolution TV, otherwise the resolution would be lowered for both screens.

Hi Andy, Unfortunately while a splitter would give you the same picture to 2 TVs, it would not resolve your problem. A splitter would look at what TVs were connected and then choose the most appropriate resolution for both. For example if you set it to 4K then only your 4K TV would get a picture as ...

New "UHD" TVs work at 4K 60Hz, with the newer HDMI 2.0 standard which can also include HDR (High Dynamic Range colour). HDMI 2.0 also includes the new copyright protection ...

Hi Andy, The reason you are not able to get 4K through the matrix with your devices is because the matrix is rated as HDMI 1.4 with up to 10.2Gbps of bandwidth. The new 4K devices require HDMI 2.0 support with the copyright version HDCP 2.2 up to 18Gbps of bandwidth. I'm afraid if you wanted to keep...

Hi Browser,

If you only have the bluray connected does the audio work fine? It may be that the unit is switching back to your TVs optical output if the TV has an "always on" optical port.
