These can also be downloaded automatically by windows if connected to the internet.

Can you tell me which operating system and browser you are using?

The 1st post is restricted in order to stop spam. You should be able to post links now.

This works correctly in windows 8.1, you can find the newest drivers here - http://www.displaylink.com/support/downloads.php

Hi,

I'm afraid 42799 is now discontinued and support for this ended well before windows 8.1.

The problem is that most tablets like iPads do not give enough power out of the HDMI port for the converter, so we do not recommend them.

We are looking at providing a HDMI power injector to solve this problem.

Hi,

70510 is only for use with U series KVM's, not the 39521 you have bought.

You would need part number 42866

Hi,

You can get incompatibilities when using multiple HDMI products. Which HDMI over CAT6 are you using, at what distance?

Hi Scott, It would be very hard to troubleshoot this type of setup. Ideally you would need an application or error log from the software you are using, this would need to be troubleshooted by the software maker. These drivers are WHQL certified and should have no issues but you can get the odd incom...

Hi,

If the transmitters source is turned off then the transmitter will enter a power saving mode, which then needs a physical button press to awake back up, or a power cycle.

I'm afraid this cannot be disabled.

Apart from this the device should work fine 24/7 if left running.

Our warehouse has received a shipment, it is getting processed via our QC dept and should be in stock shortly.

I can't give a specific time I'm afraid.

Hi,

To be honest it sounds like a fault with the unit unless you are extending the cable distance.

I'd recommend returning the unit for replacement.

The chip was discontinued by prolific a long time ago and to be honest I doubt they talk to end users.

That software was from a newer package that should of been compatible with the chip / windows 7, however it isn't working.

There is nothing else I can do, sorry.

It is not supported on Windows 7/8 and it never will be.

As a last ditch effort, could you try the attached software?

I'm afraid the connection is different, the U series use a single VGA style cable and the Classic use both VGA and PS/2.

I'm afraid you cannot port a driver from XP to Windows 7.

Which part of the product isn't working due to the USB bridge driver not installing?

Hi, The design of the U16C was to daisy chain to a U16 standalone model with a simple VGA style cable that was included. However we have now discontinued the 39533 U16 standalone KVM. To daisy chain to another KVM would be messy, you would need to use a port from the U16C to a "normal" KVM console p...

It would be a good idea to check if possible.

Also it might be a good idea to check out another distribution like ubuntu, you can live boot so it doesn't effect the system.

Hi,

Do you get any image at all under debian?

Normally you don't need to manually edit xorg.conf files anymore as these are automatically configured. However I don't use debian much.

Hi Mikepeter,

Could you confirm that the Yamaha Z7 supports 3D? As looking online it doesn't seem to do this.

If the amp doesn't support 3D then you cannot split the signal to 2D and 3D, it is an EDID limitation.

Hi Nick, I wouldn't of thought so, however it is worrying that it's not doing HD audio properly. My guess is that the extender is telling the Tivo box to output Dolby digital over HDMI but then the TV doesn't support this, maybe since it is in 5.1 mode. I'd have a look to see if there is an settings...
