Correct,

I think this would be a better solution if the budget allows.

Hello,

I'm afraid this product does not currently have a windows 8 driver / software and is not supported on win 8.

Hi,

Did you use the same disks before? The reason I ask is that is the new driver is even 1 byte smaller than the other, the drive will not clone. All drives the same size are ever so slightly different, so it makes it a nightmare.

It does sound like it could be power related.

Could you provide the item / part number for the device?

Hi,

I'm unable to offer any advice on why the other USB hubs failed and caused a problem but it doesn't sound good.

I'd suggest one of our USB hubs, however I wouldn't like to think you had the same problem.

Hi,

If these can run on 5v I see no reason why this wouldn't work, these are simple pass through ports with no electronics.

The only possible problem could be that the drives are not seating correctly or the contacts are not mating correct.

It's hard to tell from the specs, but it does look like you need 3v support.

Hi,

This enclosure only has 5v support, it might be that the SSD's need 3v. Would it possible to check your model of SSD?

igdkmd64.sys refers to your Intel graphics adapter driver. So it sounds like a conflict between the Displaylink driver and the Intel version.

Can you check you are using the latest driver for the Intel chip?

I've never seen a BSOD caused by 42744.

What does the main error in the BSOD say?

I'm afraid there is no support for windows 7 on the older USB to VGA adapters.

42744 has support for both windows 7 and 8

Hi, We have never got any wireless devices working and do not recommend them. We are still confused by the mouse issue, as you say the same brand can have different models that act differently. I will take a look at our original test report to see if I can find out the models of the mice used. We ar...

Hi Brian,

This should be a straight through CAT5/6 UTP cable.

Has this unit ever worked? I find it really strange that you're having all the problems that you mention. It may suggest that it has a fault on the unit. I'd probably recommend a return so we could test it out.

Hi Brian,

Do you have the part number 32686?

Just to check, this is connected from the local to remote unit with a direct patch lead?

Would it be possible to try a standard keyboard?

Hi William, I'd remove all traces of the software and reboot the machine. I'd then use the latest driver on our website, then insert the device when told to do so. What is the native resolution for the LG 21.5" screen?

I will ask the factory about firmware, but as its quite old I'm not sure if any update will be available.

How long have you had the unit?

Hi Maurice.

The LED is showing that the device is connected and working fine. If it doesn't light but does in another setup I'd recommend returning it for testing as it could have a fault. Especially if the two setups are the same.

Hi,

At the moment you need to use the compatibility mode on windows 8.

If you right click and select properties, then compatibility and make sure that you choose windows 7. Then it should run and install fine.
