On the source device. If its a PC you would use the normal windows screen resolution dialog.
This extender doesn't alter the resolution, it simply passes it.

Hi,
It sounds like the resolution may have dropped since the extender doesn't support DDC.
If you manually change the resolution to the screens recommended, does this help?

We have created a guide on how to do this here - http://www.lindy.co.uk/blog/2014/09/wps ... g-network/
I'd recommend a factory reset first.
You do not need to use the software at any point.

Are you trying to use the software to connect to your existing WLAN after setting up the dongle?
You need to connect to the WPS device which then piggybacks to the existing WLAN.

This sounds quite strange. Are all units set on the same settings in regards to PAL and CVBS / S-Video ?

Hi Petrikin,
I'm afraid it is unlikely that it will work as these are designed for printers, scanners and some webcams, etc.

Its certainly not an issue we have seen before. The only problem we have seen is if very long lengths of DP cable or poor quality cables are used this in certain scenarios can result in no signal. It would be interesting to see if the Mini DP port has the same issue or if its only via the port repli...

Could you tell me what lengths and resolutions you are using?
Does the laptop itself have native DP?

Due to the interference no setup with copper cable would be reliable. Even fibre extenders might have issues when connected near to large electrical interference .

We have seen similar issues before with high voltage mains nearby. Unfortunately most extenders suffer these problems. VGA cables are normally a better choice, however 60m is slightly too long for good picture quality at that resolution even with our premium gold cables. Fibre extenders would work b...

It does sound like a sudden large burst of interference that could be causing the issue. It does sound like its losing the sync.

This is a shielded unit.
Have you tried the adjustment dials on the unit? It would be very unusual to get problems at 60m
What resolution are you running at?

Hi,
You can use VGA splitters but with VGA cable you may lose quality depending on the resolution.
STP cable can sometimes give problems if the extender is not shielded, as then it can act as a antenna. This actually hinders the signal rather than help it.

Hi Andrew,
As you are aware most use a shared ground.
We can make custom cables however we don't have any 15 core cable that is standard, to "tool up" for this would require a very large order, probably around 10k+ metres
Best Regards

This seems very odd and not what the unit is supposed to perform.
If you place the new disk in the spare slot and turn the EZ switch to off does this rebuild?
I would only try this if your data is safe, as worst case changing the dip switches once the array is build will cause it to wipe!

As far as I understand this is an automatic process once the new drive is replaced with the faulty one.
Are you using an GUI to monitor the drives?
