Hi there,

Apologies if there's some help on this somewhere, did look around!

OK bought a new one of the flush single port USB3.0 express card adaptors.

It's been installed in a brand new very highly specified Dell Latitiude 6420. I used one of the pricey Kingston 16GB USB 3.0 keys (big fat white thing) to test it.

a 10.8GB file took 190 seconds, which is almost exactly 480Mbps, the very best a USB2.0 could give.

Tried it with the driver on the CD and the one from your site (NEC/Resata).

The Dell has an SSD in it, so it shouldn't be bottlenecking on that.

Any suggestions?

Benedict

Strike that, seems that is the rated speed for writing to the Kingston flash drive in question.

Apparently reading from it is a little bit quicker.

Looks like it'll be a while before we see anything that lets us actually benefit from USB 3.0!
