I am using a LINDY USB to 4 Port Serial Converter (Part No: 42858) on a MS Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise Edition laptop. I have tested the 4 RS232 ports individually with an application called "AccessPort" using a hardware loopback cable (D9 connector TX pin 2 connected to RX pin 3). However, when used as a serial RS232 port with a propriety application, it does not work. It seems like the Lindy receive buffer is not large enough to keep up with the receiving of characters? Lindy does receive characters (e.g. 40) at speed 9600 baud when using a terminal program like TeraTerm. What advanced options do I have to set to receive large amounts of data at 19200 or 115200? The latter applications work fine with a Sunix USB-To-Serial Hub.
