After working for five minutes, my Lindy USB 2.0 Audio Adapter started to hiss through my earphones. Sound from whatever I am watching is still present, but barely audible over the hissing sound.

I am running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 and have installed all of the necessary drivers. Also, I only have one fully-functioning USB-port, so cannot experiment with other ports.

Thanks.

Hi, the adapter should not function like this. If the problem persists you will have to return it for testing/replacement
