Hi,
I have Windows XP and Windows 7 on the same network.
The target USB device is a scanner: Canon CanoScan LiDE 700F.
Under XP there is no problem.
From Windows 7 (having tried every driver/compatibility combination) I get various results:
BSOD, 'Operation Did Not Succeed' etc.
I can access the Web Server and perform operations e.g.. Restart, Password Change etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Colin.

Hi,
Yes, I've tried ALL the software from the website and I've also tried installing each under 'compatibility mode' for XP.
Any suggestions of what else I can try are welcome.
I have also tried running on a 'fresh' Windows 7 system, but again, when trying to connect, I get failures and often the BSOD.
Thanks.

I've never seen this happen on windows 7 and we have tried quite a few machines with different hardware.
Is it only when connecting to the scanner, as it sounds like it could be incompatible.

Hi,
I've also tried a Freecom HDD Drive (fine under XP) which was also unsuccessful.
In this case, not only will a connection attempt fail, but (after said failure) the device & server both disappear from the application and only appear after the USB Server is re-booted.
I'm running 32-bit software on a 32-bit machine.
Searching on Google, it appears many people have success with XP but failure on Windows 7.

After applying several Microsoft Updates issued for Windows 7, the problem has disappeared.
When Windows 7 was first installed, there was no problem.
Several Microsoft Updates later, IP Server wouldn't work; hence my original post.
As said above, several more updates later, everything works fine again.
