I just bought this thing today. Works perfectly on win 7 win 8 but not recognised at all on 8.1. Are there new drivers coming?

Hi,
This product doesn't have any drivers as it uses the built in windows drivers.
Are these different machines you are using? Could you check that your USB 3 chipset drivers are installed okay?

Hi,
The problem is with a Toshiba P840 laptop running 8.1. It runs other USB3 devices fine- such as a WD 1 TB passport drive and several usb3 flash drives. The lindy is not even recognised when it plugs in- nothing in diskmgmt either. No errors- just nothing.
If I turn off USB 3 the Lindy works. The toshiba uses a bog standard 7 series/C216 intel driver- and that is the latest.
If I plug the Lindy into a windows 8 or 7 machines it seems to work fine.

It sounds like it could be an incompatibility with the chipset.
When you say turn off USB 3, do you mean move it to another slot?

There's an option in the management software to disable Usb3 support for all three usb sockets.

I could only put this down to an incompatibility as we have not seen this before.
