Looking for advice/assistance...

I want to download video from a Sony video camera, recorded on miniDV tape. My old PC had a firewire port and as long as I did a "clean" boot it worked successfully. Now have a faster better PC, Dell XPS 8900 with Intel i7, but unfortunately no firewire port.

Is the FireWire Card with TI Chipset- 2 Port, PCIe Part No. 51180 the correct product?

Thanks

Providing your PC has a PCIe slot, and your device uses a 4 to 6 pin firewire cable, that should work fine.
