Bose Freestyle USB port.

Hello.....My first post and very much a novice. Please be gentle!

I have a 15 year old Bose system Hi Fi with built in CD player which is fantastic.
However, The Bose has no USB port and as I now store a lot of my music on pen drives/memory sticks, I would like to find a way of playing them on the Bose.
There are all the usual RCA sockets on the back for Digital Audio in and out, optical input and output, composite and s-video sockets.

I am wondering if there is a simple low cost way of converting from RCA sockets to USB with some kind of adapter from Lindy (I already have their 42961 USB Audio Adapter....would that do it?)

If anyone knows the answer I would really appreciate it.
Many thanks.

Hi, Not something we do i'm afraid. 42961 is basically a little external sound card. It needs an operating system. You would need to use a PC and software and then send the output to a DAC which would convert from USB to phono, which you can then connect to the Bose. ... fier-p2740
