About two weeks ago a client bought x units of 39398.

The current system contains a server with WINDOWS SERVER 2008 R2 SP1, a mouse, a keyboard, a monitor 19'' and 19'' touch screen.

Problem encountered:

When the touch screen is connected to the receiving station and touch the screen to operate the computer automatically enters sleep mode "shutdown".

The tests were:

Direct connection (no KVM) between computer and touch screen - OK;
Connect with KVM, 19'' monitor connected to the "CONSOLE" at the transmitting station, as well as mouse and keyboard at the same station - OK
In addition to the connections described in the previous line added the touch screen to the receiving station and also called a mouse and a keyboard on the doors "CONSOLE", and everything worked ok without touching the monitor screen touch. - OK

The problem arises when we have the situation of the previous line and touch screen monitor touch.

Any suggestions ?

Hi,

So when you connect a touch screen to the receiver, as soon as you touch the screen it will shutdown the machine?

I've never seen this happen before, it is very strange. Although we don't actually support touch screens on these I still think it should of worked.

I'll ask the factory to see if they can shed any light on it.

Hi,

I'm afraid we cannot help on this as we don't recommend touch screens, see the below taken from the manual.

please note that for USB only HID devices like mice and
keyboards are supported. The extender only supports standard signals
for mice with up to 5 buttons as well as standard keyboard functions

We do not have a unit that we could recommend for a touch screen

Best Regards
Chris

Ok . Noted.

The manual does mention Keyboard and mouse and USB signals but doesnt mention screens...
