I've bought both a USB Transfer & KM Sharing Cable AND a 2 Port USB Cable KM Switch and neither work on my Windows XP 64bit workstation.
I'm trying to share keyboard and mouse between one machine running XP and one running Windows 7.
The software for each product appears to run perfectly on the Windows 7 PC, but neither work on the XP 64bit.
I can hot key with both products, but thats not what I bought these cables for (I have an old Belkin KVM that can do that for me!)
With the USB Transfer & KM Sharing Cable I cannot log into PC No.2 (the XP machine) as Ctrl, Alt + Delete hot switches back to PC No.1! Therefore I'm stuck with using the 2 Port USB Cable KM Switch but find the hot switch very inconvenient and actually more trouble that the button on the old Belkin KVM
Can any advice be offered before I send these back? (the 2 Port USB Cable does state compatability with 64bit Windows XP!)

Hi Martin,
I'm sorry to hear that, from what you've described it does sound as though there may just be an incompatibility between the KM software and the 64-bit version of Windows XP unfortunately.
I'm afraid I could only suggest that you return the goods to the place of purchase.

Thanks for the response Guy, although I must say its VERY disappointing as I bought the product directly from Lindy where you categorically state the product is compatable with XP 64 bit.

Well Lindy must now rank #1 for terrible customer support.
Very very disappointed and we won't make the mistake of buying Lindy again.

We have just come across this, we seem to have had some problems with our forum. I can only apologise that this was not dealt with sooner. We are currently trying to correct the issues so that it will not happen in future.
Please could you email into our technical inbox and I will try the resolve the above issue for you. We do have some new Firmware available for this product which I can send over along with instructions on how to install it.
