Am now on second one of these purchased from avides thru amazon after returning first as faulty.
problem is adding two ssds in raid 0 config will not boot into windows 8, they are recognised by raid bios ok. and when the backplane is removed from the lines they boot ok, add the lindy and they stall on boot.
booting from win8 dvd and using diskpart no drive is shown, booting from a macrium reflect winpe boot cd created on thsi system before lindy was added i can see the windows system partition but not the secondary partition....
any ideas?

Hi,

This enclosure only has 5v support, it might be that the SSD's need 3v. Would it possible to check your model of SSD?

It's hard to tell from the specs, but it does look like you need 3v support.

yeah i can't find it either, but really, this is the day of the SSD, releasing a product that doesn't support this is downright careless, not informing people of this critical and potentially damaging issue is....bad to say the least.

sorry was on way to work this morn but thinking about it through the day it can't be right,, the ssds both work off molex>sata power adapters so are at least capable of working correctly with a 5v input only..

Hi,

If these can run on 5v I see no reason why this wouldn't work, these are simple pass through ports with no electronics.

The only possible problem could be that the drives are not seating correctly or the contacts are not mating correct.

they are as snug as can be, can't see how they are not making contact but i must admit examining inside the sata connectors are not level so am going to presume this is a faulty batch and return once more.
