I am trying to use one of the above in a piece of test equipment. The equipment is portable and could be used connected to a number of different pc's. Generally once I have assigned Comm port numbers once it seems to remember them ie COMM port 2, 3 4 and 5. But it seems to randommally order them. For my application it is important that each of the connectors has a fixed comm port everytime.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit.
Thank you.

Hi,

I'm afraid this is how Windows operates. We have no control over it.
