Hello on my SATA clone station I am trying to clone a 500GB Seagate hard disk to a 128GB SATA SSD. The partition on the Seagate is around 120GB.

The problem is that the clone does not appear to start. The blue light does not start flashing.

Can any suggest what may be wrong here or how I initiate a clone?

Hi Jonnyboyz,

The target hard drive must be of equal or larger capacity than the drive you a cloning from, it is not possible to clone a 500GB drive onto a 128GB drive.

Cloning stations do not read any data such as partition tables, they do a bitwise clone which means all data including blank space is cloned.
