Im looking to buy a cable which links my lap top to the Aux/output on my audio equipment. To transfer from the lap top to the audio eq. Not sure of the output on the lap top , but there is no 3.5 sockets on the lap top! Any ideas? Thanks Colin.

Assuming the ports on your audio equipment are phono connectors and the audio port on your laptop is a 3.5" socket, you'd need one of these:

Audio Cable

But I just need to clarify, do you want to send audio from your laptop so you can play it back through your audio equipment or the other way around? Can you check the connectors on the audio device and let us know what they are?

Also, you might want to try our cable guru, it's a pictorial guide so you should be able to match up the connectors on your laptop with the ones on your audio device and come up with the correct cable.
