I thought I'd start a thread for all footy fans. Hopefully in the build up to the World Cup (and during it) people will post here.

Capello's announced the provisional squad about an hour ago. Check it out here:

As a Boro fan, it's interesting to see he's chosen one of our ex players, Adam Johnson over another, Stuart Downing.

Also, as part of the transfer deal to Man City, don't we (Boro) get a million quid if AJ makes his England debut? We could spend it on some more Scottish players.

How on earth did Ledley King get in?? He's not even fit enough to train when there are 7 days between games, so how's he going to manage at the world cup?

Does anybody else think footballers are over paid gymnasts?

I've never understood the fascination with watching people kicking balls in to nets.

Don't get me wrong, I like playing football, but I'd fall asleep watching it.
