HI,

I am using LINDY 42855 USB-RS232 Serial Converter Lite to provide pan, tilt and zoom functionality on a camera.

Normal app functionality until I attempt to Pan, tilt or Zoom. In any order. Then application crashes with an unexpected error.
The exception code is 0x0000005

We have checked port settings and all looks OK. We had to use COM1 as COM3 was in use. But this has never caused an issue in the past.

We have used earlier versions of your USB-RS232 Serial Converter Lite which have had no issues.

Any advice?

Hi Scott,

It would be very hard to troubleshoot this type of setup.

Ideally you would need an application or error log from the software you are using, this would need to be troubleshooted by the software maker.

These drivers are WHQL certified and should have no issues but you can get the odd incompatibility.

The current serial lite products use a different chipset.

Another quick questions for you,

Does the LINDY 42855 USB-RS232 Serial Converter Lite support CTS/RTS?
