I've recently purchased Lindy Part No 41007, a DVI-I to DVI-D+VGA Splitter cable.

However, when using the VGA element of this splitter the maximum output resolution to my monitor is only 1600x1080.

I know this isn't a limitation of my monitor or graphics card, because if I bypass the splitter and plug a VGA cable directly into the graphics card on the PC, I get 1920x1200.

Is this a limitation of PN 41007? And if so, what is the product I would need for two simultaneous outputs of 1920x1200, one on VGA and one on DVI-D from a DVI-I port?

Hello,

I'm afraid this is due to DDC.

There is only one set of DDC data lines from any connection. In this case these are connected to the DVI-D interface. This done because you cannot connect them to the DVI-D and VGA at the same time.

Do you have an option to force a certain resolution?

Best Regards
