HI
The product we purchased is VGA splitter to replace our old digital signage.
8 Port VGA Splitter Pro, 450MHz; Part No. 32573
The problem I have is when I connect VGA-RJ45 transmitter, I guess splitter does not supply enough power for signal to travel. When I connect same splitter to VGA on computer directly itself, I do not experience such issue. I should add that on our old signage where we had a lot of graphics cards installed, all monitors were connected directly into those VGA, and it worked.
Transmitter itself is capable of transmitting power over RJ45, but is it to power transmitter on receiving end only, and I still need to supply power for it, or does it mean splitter capable of taking power from VGA port on PC/Splitter.
The only solution I can think of is to use 5v power cables, which I had 8 but I am still short of 3-4, and I need to find the right ones.
Can anyone confirm please that VGA splitters do not supply power like PCs?
Thanks in advance.
Splitter does not power transmitter
