Hi
I recently bought an HDMI(A) to VGA Adapter, No 38191, to drive a projector from my new Dell Inspiron. The picture came up okay, but I couldn't play audio through the laptop. Are there any settings for the Adapter that I need to change, and where do I find them?

Hi IanGH,

It sounds as though your laptop may have set the HDMI to VGA adapter as the default audio output device. If you go into your sound settings > playback devices, you should be able to set your Laptop speakers as default.

The 38191 does not carry audio, if you want to send the audio out to your projector you would need the 38185 which outputs to a 3.5mm "headphone" socket.
