Hi,
I would like to link the following devices:
- nVidia Quadro 4000 GPU (1 Dual-Link DVI-I, 2 DisplayPort) and
- HP ZR2740w monitor (2560x1440; 1 DisplayPort, 1 Dual-Link DVI-D)
with the Lindy Fibre Optic HDMI extender (No. 38003).
I need a cable to connect the GPU to the extender and an other one from the extender to the monitor. I have already tried a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, but it did not work with the required resolution. Does a cable for my needs exist? Is it going to work with an other display, what has a native resolution of 2560x1600?
Thanks!

Hi
I'm afraid you can't go from Dual link DVI to HDMI, only single link to HDMI. This is probably why you are not getting the full resolution when using an adapter.

Thank you for your quick answer!
So with a "passive" cable it is not possible. Do you offer an "active" solution which converts the stream? Or do I have to buy a new DisplayPort or Dual link DVI capable transmitter? Which one is the most affordable?
Thanks again,
Tamás
