This one:
http://www.lindy.co.uk/usb-2-print-serv ... 42394.html
It appears to install OK and finds the printer (Canon MP610 which is listed as compatible). But when I try to print a test page it says 'spooling' and then says 'can't communicate with printer'
When I try to reserve it using the GUI it tries to connect but then reverts to the blue exclamation mark.
What should I try?
Can't get USB Print Server to work with Windows 7

Dear Neil,
Thank you for your email.
Please can you install a new TCP/IP port into the printer setup or Port Settings for your printer.
Please click on the link below, scroll about half way down.
http://www.edimax.us/html/Faq/FAQ_PS_standardtcpip.htm
You use the same IP address as the print server and set the printing protocol from RAW to LPR and set a queue to 'lp'.
I hope this helps.

Thanks, Gary, it now prints ok. But I still get an annoying message 'cannot communicate with printer.... enable bidirectional support'. How can I fix this?

Dear Neil,
Have you tried un-ticking that box so that the error is not given ?
If you emulate the USB connection, hence use the software to 'connect' to the unit, the ink levels and printer status will work.

Hello again
I never quite cracked this, so I'd like to try again, but I've managed to lose the installation disk. Is there somewhere I can download the software from?
