Hi.
We currently have a '19" Modular KVM Terminal with 17" LCD' with a 'KVM Switch - U16C Modular'.
We would like to add more ports by using the daisy chaining port.
We're aware of the 1m Daisy Chain Cable CAT-32, however the manual seems to show a console port module that looks like it must be purchased additionally and added to the master KVM. The "IP Access Module" looks rather expensive if we just plan on using the daisy chaining functionality.
Could you please confirm what we need to add another 16 port (U16C) KVM to our existing setup.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi,
The design of the U16C was to daisy chain to a U16 standalone model with a simple VGA style cable that was included. However we have now discontinued the 39533 U16 standalone KVM.
To daisy chain to another KVM would be messy, you would need to use a port from the U16C to a "normal" KVM console port, but you would only be able to access them once the first KVM (U16C) was on a specific port, then you might come across problems with hotkeys etc.
Unfortunately this is the only way.

Would it not be possible to daisy chain to a 16 Port KVM Switch Classic Remote as that also seems to offer daisy chaining?
Unless if course the daisy chaining connection is different?
EDIT: It seems that your EU store has the KVM Switch U16 in stock. We might look at aquiring one there.

I'm afraid the connection is different, the U series use a single VGA style cable and the Classic use both VGA and PS/2.

Yes, that is the 39533.
You would need to speak to our International dept in relation to ordering.
